☀️Summer Interns☀️

Join us in congratulating our summer interns on successfully completing their programs this year! 🎉

Recruiter Megan Jensen said, "This summer, we had the pleasure of having 4 interns in the swine production area of our business. They are students who are attending either North Carolina State University or James Sprunt Community College; each are earning an Animal Science degree. They were assigned a farm and spent 9 weeks learning how a sow farm works. Our interns had the unique opportunity to be hands-on and really be immersed in the farm culture. When not on the farm, they took one class taught by our Senior Production Manager Greg Wulf, and two classes taught by our Training and Development Manager Tomeka Robinson. Their last week, we toured our Finishing operation in Magnolia and our Methane Digesters. We wrapped their summer up with a night full of fun and laughter at the Clubhouse in River Landing, where President and CEO Dell Murphy, Vice President and Director of Support Operations Wen Murphy, Executive Vice President and COO Jeff Turner, and several others attended and were able to talk with the interns one-on-one. On their last day they presented to a small audience about what they learned, what they liked, what they disliked, and how they grew from the internship. These bright, young adults worked very hard all summer and we wish them the best of luck in their future!"

Congratulations to Armando Galicia Evaristo on being with MFV for 25 years!! 🎉 Turner Farm Manager Ellis Costin said, "Armando has been a valued staff member at the Turner Sow Farm for 25 years. This is the only farm that he has ever worked at, and over the course of that time he has worked for many managers, with all of them agreeing that he was one of their best employees. We are very fortunate to have Armando working alongside us here at the Turner Sow Farm, but more importantly, having him be a part of Murphy Family Ventures is truly a blessing!!" Thomas Creek | 20 Years

Congratulations to Thomas Creek on being with MFV for 20 years! 🎉Maintenance Manager Bill Rainey said, "Tom started with MFV in 2004 in production, working on the sow farms. With the knowledge and skills he possesses in maintenance, Tom moved to the maintenance department in 2014 and has been working in MO Maintenance for the last 10 years. Tom is a great asset to his department and to the MFV team!!"
