John Wesley Hairr, Recruiter for MFV, has recently been selected, along with 20 others, by the National Pork Producers Council and the National Pork Board to participate in their training program - the Pork Leadership Institute. PLI trains leaders within the pork industry to lead and advocate for the pork industry from local levels and beyond.

Safety Program Updates for 2022

Gift cards will now include YEAR 1 when a department has completed 1 year without a recordable/preventable incident, gift card value will increase for each year
- Under the old program, the gift cards did not come into play until you completed 2 years without a recordable/preventable event, capped at $50 and $100
Meals under the new program will be annual meal $21/each, semi-annual $10/each (or six months after your anniversary)
- Under the old program, you did have a $7/each meal every quarter, and a $14/each meal at the anniversary
Gifts will be grouped:
- Years 1-2: choose 1 gift from a selection of 4 options
- Years 3-4: choose 1 gift from a selection of 4 options
- Years 5-10: choose 1 gift from a selection of 3 options
- Years > 10: choose 1 gift from a selection of 4 options
Keep in mind some gift selections will be stocked in both North Carolina and Missouri-others will be special ordered upon request
- Under the old program each team member could choose 1 clothing item: a tee-shirt, a cap, a visor, a beanie
