Happy Anniversary to River Landing Gatehouse Operations Manager Bobby Davenport! Bobby is celebrating his 25th year with Murphy Family Ventures, and he holds the distinction of being the employee with the longest length of continuous service at River Landing. While presenting Bobby his service award, MFV President and CEO Dell Murphy expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the countless hours, days, and nights that Bobby has devoted to River Landing, especially during natural disasters and other challenging times. From removing trees and controlling traffic after a storm, to driving kids through the neighborhood for a Halloween hayride, through the years Bobby has just about done it all. Thank you, Bobby, for your quarter-century commitment to the River Landing community!

Congratulations to William “Grant” Naylor for his promotion to Broiler Farm Manager at Turner Chicken Ranch! William joined MFV in March of 2021 at Leader Chicken Farm and has been quick to learn the ins and outs of the poultry business.

Safety First!

Safety is first and always should be!! Our accomplishments in safety are attributed to the culture we as a team have gravitated to over the years. There are several aspects to an overall successful safety program:  Education/Training, Hazard Remediation, Coaching, Buy-In, and Proactive Results. These results transition into reduced total injuries each year, severity of each event, cost associated with both medical only and loss time cases, and enhanced safety incentive opportunities. Completing each task with safety in mind is who we are. It has and always will be a team effort of looking out for each other and working together to keep everyone safe.  We have seen a significant reduction in the average annual cost regarding recordable accidents and loss time events. The results speak to our continued efforts to stay the course and focus on the task before us. We should be very proud of our accomplishments including productivity and safety results.
