May Winners

Congratulations to Kristal Batchelor and Chef Charles Rousey from River Landing on winning the compliment box for May! Don't forget to submit your compliment for your chance to win this month.

Kristal said, "On April 12th Charles really showed us we are a team! Not only did he answer phones and take orders, he also sat reservations, ran food, and all around assisted us when we REALLY needed it. I don't think I've had this type of support here at the club since I started."

The North Carolina Youth Outdoor Engagement Commission

The North Carolina Youth Outdoor Engagement Commission hosted its first event, celebrating efforts to promote outdoor activities among the state's youth. As chairman of the commission, Dell Murphy hosted the event at the River Landing Clubhouse. MFV is honored to be a part of this initiative providing enriching experiences for North Carolina's kids!

Pork Leadership Council

Congratulations to Recruiter Megan Jensen and Stantonsburg Manager Hannah Jones for being selected for the 2024 Pork Leadership Council! Megan stated, "This year-long program prepares young pork industry professionals for future leadership through sessions in Raleigh and Washington, D.C., focusing on industry knowledge and advocacy. We have three mandatory sessions, including two days in Raleigh learning about the pork industry, the organizations involved, and key issues facing the industry, one day in Raleigh for the General Assembly, where we visit with state leaders in agriculture and legislature, and two days in Washington, D.C., where we visit with a Congressional delegation and learn from the National Pork Producers Council. It is a wonderful program that exposes us to the legislative side of the industry and teaches how to properly advocate for the pork industry. We are both very proud to be part of this year’s program." Congratulations Megan and Hannah!!🎉🌟

Missouri Leadership Training

MFV Training and Development Manager Tomeka Robinson brought a fresh approach to leadership training to our Missouri office. Our Spanish-speaking leaders had a hands-on session, mastering origami techniques to foster effective training methods. The Marshall Sow Farm team participated in an interactive leadership session called "Solve the Rubik’s Cube," a fun and effective way to enhance communication skills and trust.

An Evening in Paris🌟

Our farms in Missouri host "spring flings" yearly to relax and have fun with team members. Their most recent spring event was themed "An Evening in Paris." The food was fantastic and everyone had a great time celebrating!
