Safety Topic from Mike Brown

Sharps Safety

Sharps, including needles, scalpels, and other medical instruments, can cause injuries by cutting or puncturing the skin. Regardless of your job or task, it's essential to protect yourself and others using the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Ensure your entire team reviews key safety protocols, covering topics such as PPE, handling needles and sharps, medical safety devices, sharps containers, and exposure response. Remember, never—never—take shortcuts when working with sharps, as proper protection is vital to prevent injuries.
