Albemarle Boats Supporting Our Future Farmers

Albermarle Boats’ Kristie Mize (pictured in the middle) participated in the 68th Annual Chowan County Livestock Show and Sale! She said that all of the kids did an awesome job raising and showing their pigs this year. She is standing with Caroline Goodwin and Trent Goodwin who won 2nd & 3rd place for showmanship in their age groups.

JSCC Career Fair

James Sprunt Community College (JSCC) held an outdoor career fair on April 21st, and we were thrilled to be there and to interact with the JSCC community, its students, and staff. Thank you to HR Recruiter John Wesley Hairr and Marketing Specialist Lauren Branch for attending the career fair on our behalf!

This is a day-long course for supervisors that emphasize the skills needed for the training field. The course prepares the learner to present the curriculum, prepare instructions, and lead a group. A follow-up training activity will be scheduled with each participant in their own department to ensure that the goals have been achieved.

Emotional intelligence is defined as the ability to monitor your own feelings and emotions. It also is the ability to understand and influence the emotions of other people. This self-paced course is offered for all employees with special emphasis on supervisors. Link to this course.

Effective MNGR 5 (English - NC/MO)

Course members will be able to understand and apply the principles of good motivation, adopt the appropriate style of management, delegate work effectively, plan projects and their own time effectively, influence staff, deal with grievance disciplining effectively course and disciplining and contribute effetely at meetings. This course is designed for those in leadership roles and split into 3 day-long sessions, over the course of 6 months.
